I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
